Join us for a fun filled week at Scorpion Bay. Scorpion Bay is a legendary surf spot that has been compared to other legendary point breaks such as Malibu, Rincon, and Jeffery's Bay. When Scorpion Bay catches the right swell, few waves on Earth can match its form and length. In 2011, SURFER Magazine ranked Scorpion Bay the 36th best wave in the world! The closest commercial airport to Scorpion Bay is Loreto International Airport. Alaska Airlines is currently the only carrier to fly to and from Loreto direct from the US We will arrive at Loreto airport where we will be picked up for the approximately 3 1/2 hr drive to Scorpion Bay. Our driver will have water, and some fruit or snacks for the journey. The house was built by my Mexican friend a few years ago. It has 2 master suites and 4 bedrooms. There is a large courtyard and large family style living/kitchen area that opens up to the courtyard, and a beautiful rooftop patio. Once we arrive at the house, Sergio and his staff handle everything for us. There is even a gourmet chef who will prepare us the most amazing meals. He is also very good with handling food allergies, and specific requests. Because they handle everything for us, you will be relaxed and ready to surf, surf, surf! In the morning the guys will load up the quads w/ surfboards, umbrella, a cooler full of water and beer, and we will take off to surf. It’s about 3-5 min away by quad, which is our primary mode of transportation in Scorpion Bay. Sergio has a good selection of long and funboard size boards to choose from, plus a few short boards. If you have a specific request for a size board, let me know ahead of time and I’ll see what he has that will fit your needs. You are welcome to bring your own, I just need to know how many are bringing boards so we can make sure we can fit everything on the car. Laura, Gypsea Life Surf and Travel
